Update: April 2021

 Hey Kids,

 

I have a lot to report.  I apologize for the radio silence, but it took me a month to feel the ground under me after my dad's death.  The next month I spent writing and recording music for the first time, in a log time.  I'm mixing down an album's worth of music, of many different genre's (though admittedly, mostly rock, there's blues, jazz, funk, classical, hard rock, country, fusion, pop, and prog), called The Tree.  Look for more information on that soon.

I also got vaccinated.  Had my first shot of Pfizer at the Armory in Albany on March 16, and the second on April 6th.  Knowing that my Covid 19 Leave of Absence was soon coming to an end at Advance Auto Parts, and I would soon be returning to work, I started looking for something else, I might enjoy doing better.  On March 20th I applied for a position at a leading Steel Distributor in the Capitol Region located just outside of Albany.  Two days later I received a formal offer, which I accepted.  I began that position on Monday, April 12th.

Anyway, that's what's going on here.

RIP Dad

 There was no one kinder in the world to me, no one more generous to me, than my dad.  He was my hero, my idol, and my dad.  I just received word of his passing.  He has long battled dementia, heart disease, and kidney failure, and he succumbed to them peacefully and in his sleep a few days ago.  I am so glad that he did not suffer in the end.  He will be sorely missed.  I've missed him for years already, of course, he hasn't been himself for a while now.  I spoke to him on the phone on Christmas.  It was the last time we would talk.  I knew it might be.  I told him I loved him so many times on that call.  It wasn't enough.  I wish I could have told him one more time.

I'm sure I'll talk more about him as I am able.

I'm back

 Hey gang!  How goes it.  Sorry to be awol for so long.  Work got to being very busy, taking more and more of my energy to deal with the ever-increasing stress of waiting on a hundred people a day during a pandemic.  Today, the infection rate in Albany is listed at 6.40%.  I decided to take another leave of absence from work, due to being high risk for Covid 19.  Right now, I'm just chilling, decompressing, and recovering.  Soon, I hope to get back to writing.  More Confessions soon.  Who knows what else?  See ya around.

Donna's Birthday Again

Just a note that today marks what would have been my sister's 60th birthday.  Sadly, she took her own life a year and a half ago.  I miss her everyday.  Hold your loved ones close while you can.  Peace.

Summer is Here

Summer is here.  Feels like it here in Albany, NY.  A sizzling start to the season.

Still super busy at work.

I've ranked the albums of some of my favorite bands, so that will be a thing that I'll be posting here soon.  Confessions still continues.  Um, what else?  Not much.
