Happy Easter, I guess

Hey gang,

Hope you are all staying safe.  Socially Distancing.  Washing your hands.  That sort of thing.

I hope that if you celebrate Easter, Passover, or any of those springtime religious holidays you find a way to do so with some measure of happiness.

I've posted a lot more chapters over at Confessions of a Supervillain.  I call it, a novel in gyres and flashes.  Check it out at confessionsofasupervillain.blogspot.com

Be safe.  Peace to you and yours.

Best,

Diana

Covid 19 Leave of Absence

So, I broke down and took a leave of absence from work during this covid 19 pandemic, as I have COPD and asthma.  Things will be tight for a while, but hopefully, I'll be able to get back to work in a few weeks.

In the meantime, it means more chapters more often over at Confessions of a Supervillain, so there's that.

Be safe.  Stay home.  Wash your hands.

Later.

Panic Attack at Work

In real life, I'm currently the Assistant Manager in an auto parts store for a major chain, in Albany, NY.  The state is on lockdown, but we're considered essential, so I'm still working.

Customers are not properly socially distancing.  I am afraid of them now.  Yesterday, I had to go home because I had a panic attack.  I'm disappointed in myself, but it is what it is.  My boss told me to take the rest of the week off.  I probably will.  I'm off today and tomorrow anyway.  Tough times.

Anyway, thought I would share that.

Be safe.

So, Here We Are...

Hey, gang!  What's up?

Things look pretty fucking bleak right now on the news front, but you know that.  One of my coworkers was tested for covid-19 yesterday.  Scary stuff. Work is still open.

I ordered a couple of books to read if quarantined or isolated, David Copperfield and The Alchemist. I'll let you know what I think of them.

Got a full fridge, freezer, and cupboard.  Got TP.  Got some beer, tequila, bourbon, and greenery.

I'm hopeful that everyone gets through this pandemic safe and healthy.  Maybe, when we get through this, we learn some lessons, and change a few things.  I guess we'll see.

Stay safe, gentle readers!

Oh, yeah, Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Happy Leap Day

So, here we are.  February 29, 2020.  Leap Day.  A day that occurs only once every four years.  Neato.

Not too much going on.  Another cold winter's day here in Albany, NY.  A battle between clouds, sun, and snow showers wages in the sky.  I'm wistful.  A little restless.  Roundabout by Yes is playing in the background.

So, thanks for stopping by.  Have a good one.

Remembering Liz on Her Birthday

Today is going to be a tough day for me.  February 13th will always be hard for me for the rest of the days of my life.

Liz's birthday.

I honor you today, Lizzie.  As I shall always on this day.

I loved you.  So goddamn much.  I always tried to help you, even after everything, after our marriage was over, I still tried.  But, I failed you.  And I'm so sorry.  I wish you hadn't cut off contact with me last May.  I might have been able to talk some sense into you.  But, this world was always so hard on you.  It beat you up.  I know it did, because it beat me up, it still beats me up.

At one time we had the world.  We had each other.  We had our friends.  We had our band.  Then, things, started to fall away from us.  It's the nature of things, I guess.

One day, I hope to cherish the memories of our times together, right now, every memory is torture.  But, that's not your fault.

I wish you had had the strength to hold on.  I'm sorry I wasn't there for you in your darkness hour.  I'm sorry about everything.

Rest in Peace.
