Happy Leap Day

So, here we are.  February 29, 2020.  Leap Day.  A day that occurs only once every four years.  Neato.

Not too much going on.  Another cold winter's day here in Albany, NY.  A battle between clouds, sun, and snow showers wages in the sky.  I'm wistful.  A little restless.  Roundabout by Yes is playing in the background.

So, thanks for stopping by.  Have a good one.

Remembering Liz on Her Birthday

Today is going to be a tough day for me.  February 13th will always be hard for me for the rest of the days of my life.

Liz's birthday.

I honor you today, Lizzie.  As I shall always on this day.

I loved you.  So goddamn much.  I always tried to help you, even after everything, after our marriage was over, I still tried.  But, I failed you.  And I'm so sorry.  I wish you hadn't cut off contact with me last May.  I might have been able to talk some sense into you.  But, this world was always so hard on you.  It beat you up.  I know it did, because it beat me up, it still beats me up.

At one time we had the world.  We had each other.  We had our friends.  We had our band.  Then, things, started to fall away from us.  It's the nature of things, I guess.

One day, I hope to cherish the memories of our times together, right now, every memory is torture.  But, that's not your fault.

I wish you had had the strength to hold on.  I'm sorry I wasn't there for you in your darkness hour.  I'm sorry about everything.

Rest in Peace.

February 2020 Update

Not much happens in Albany in February.  People keep their heads down, go about their business and try to keep warm.  Same with me.  Work's work.  Installing lots of batteries and wipers at the auto parts store. Got my taxes done, so that's good, I guess.

On the writing front, which presumably is the reason you're here, the big thing for me writing project-wise is the Confessions of a Supervillain blog novel at

confessionsofasupervillain.blogspot.com

It's a lot of fun to write.  It's a delightfully disjointed tale of a time traveling speedster anti-villain, with a main character that is just so much fun for me.

Liz's birthday is coming up.  That's going to hit me hard, I think.  Donna's first birthday after her death beat me up, and I'm sure Liz's will too.  I'll get through.

I really enjoyed the last season (and frankly the whole series) of Bojack Horseman, and highly recommend that.

Gosh, how about that whole impeachment business, huh?  Scary times.

That's about it.
