The Absolute Write Water Cooler

Today, I thought I'd share the best kept secret of writers of the English speaking world.  You see, before there was Facebook or Myspace or Twitter there were internet forums.   And the finest of those, was, and remains to this day, the writers forum. known affectionately as The Absolute Write Water Cooler.  If you are an aspiring writer, you need to check it out.  If you are an established writer, you should check it out.  The forum is filled with all walks of literary life, from best-selling authors incognito, to mid-listers, to newbies, to wannabes, all talking about writing, or politics, or movies, or books, or just shooting the shit.  It is an invaluable tool for learning the craft (esp. Uncle Jim's Novel Writing Thread--Uncle Jim being none other than author James D. MacDonald), constructing proper queries, formatting manuscripts, finding agents or publishers, getting feedback on your work,  networking, socializing, and making friends.  I joined back in 2004 and I'm still learning so much.  The board was originally created and owned by author Jenna Glatzer, and now continues to flourish under the ownership of author MacAllister Stone. I highly recommend any writers, or would-be writers to at least check it out.
